A $42 million “reimagined masterpiece” in the gated neighborhood of Beverly Park is the most expensive new listing on realtor.com®. this week.

Built in 1988 on just over 2.5 acres in Beverly Hills, CA, the mansion has seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. “No expense was spared” in its recent renovation, the listing states.

The ground level offers spacious living and entertaining spaces, including living and dining rooms, an office, open kitchen and family room, billiard room, and home theater.

The upstairs contains the master bedroom with dual bathrooms and closets, six more bedrooms, and a gym. The home has been outfitted with smart home technology, including fingerprint recognition.

“That the property has been reimagined to such an exacting standard and is available for sale is most compelling,” says listing agent Christopher Dyson. “To have a practically brand-new, move-in ready opportunity, in what many consider to be the most exclusive community in the city, is very special.”

If you haven’t heard of Beverly Park, it’s a prestigious under-the-radar enclave. According to one report, it’s actually the richest neighborhood in L.A., based on a study that looked at income.

With homes that average 20,000 square feet and an empty lot listed for a whopping $30 million, “the gated community of Beverly Park is one of the most exclusive, expensive places in Los Angeles, a land of exclusive, expensive places,” the Wall Street Journal noted in 2015.

A-listers, including Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, and Sylvester Stallone, have all called this area home.

Dyson loves what the sellers have done with the mansion.

“In particular the grounds and entertaining areas are exquisite,” he says. “The flow and living areas of the home have been reconfigured to reflect a more contemporary, modern feel that buyers desire. This is a ‘no excuse’ home for the most discerning buyer who also requires the extra layer of privacy and security that the Park affords.”
