Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll scored a touchdown with a sweet piece of investment property in Manhattan Beach, CA. He recently sold his beach cottage for $2,050,000, topping the asking price of $2 million by $50,000, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The beach house hit the market in August and closed in about two weeks. It was advertised as being move-in ready or an immediate rental income generator. The 1,200-square-foot home has a partial ocean view from the second floor, two bedrooms (one with wood paneling), a galley-style kitchen, living room, and brick patio.
The coach reportedly bought the 1930s-era home in 1999 for $540,000 and had offered the place for rent at $4,500 a month before listing it last month. Within walking distance of the beach and downtown, the quaint house offered an oceanfront opportunity too nice to linger on the market for long.
