Houston home sales bounce back in August, prices hit new records

Houston’s housing market continued its see-sawing sales in August, bouncing back from a down month in July, the Houston Association of Realtors reported Sept. 14. Single-family home sales in August totaled 7,914, up 8.2 percent from August 2015 and the biggest one-month volume in more than a year. In July, home sales were down 8.8 percent year over year.
