Wyoming’s Most Expensive Home Is a $26.7M Fly-Fishing Estate Owned by Hollywood Power Couple

For decades, whenever Hollywood power couple Skip Brittenham and Heather Thomas wanted to escape the relentless pace of Los Angeles, they’d fly to Wyoming and spend days at a time fly-fishing in the state’s wild streams and rivers.

Thomas, 61, holds a first-place trophy from the prestigious Jackson Hole One Fly fishing tournament, while her husband once competed for the U.S. team in the 1989 world fly-fishing championships. They’re serious about the sport.

“The secret to their marriage: separate boats,” Thomas’ bio reads.

It looks like the couple might be hanging up their rods and waders. Earlier this year, they listed their log cabin–style mansion in Jackson, WY, for $26.7 million. It’s currently the state’s most expensive listing.

Jackson and its surrounding unincorporated communities, collectively known as Jackson Hole, attracts wealthy weekend adventurers for good reason: It sits at the mouth of Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone, and the National Elk Refuge, home to the largest elk herd on Earth.

Built in 2007, the 7,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, eight-bath mansion drew inspiration from the 1920s-era grand lodges of the West.

The mansion, which comes with 20 wooded acres, sits at the edge of a pond, surrounded by cottonwood and spruce trees.

The living room features a vaulted ceiling, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace (with a mounted buffalo head), totem pole, and Western art. Craftsman-style windows look out on the pond.

The kitchen has rich wood cabinetry, green stone countertops, a blue-and-green-tiled backsplash, and an island with a sink. There’s also a bar that seats five, and a breakfast nook.

Thomas splashed into pop culture as a stuntwoman who moonlights as a bounty hunter on the 1980s ABC show “The Fall Guy.” As a young starlet, she posed in a pink bikini for a pinup poster that later became a best-seller.

She eventually became an author and screenwriter, competitive angler, and progressive political conduit in Hollywood. Thomas hosts a monthly luncheon in L.A. that is a must-stop on the national political campaign trail.

Her husband is an entertainment lawyer who’s represented Eddie Murphy, Harrison Ford, and Bruce Willis, among others.
