It’s No Stunt: Bob Einstein (aka Super Dave Osborne) Is Selling His Beverly Hills Home

Bob Einstein—best known for playing Super Dave Osborne and Marty Funkhouser—is now taking on the role of home seller. He’s just put his Beverly Hills, CA, Tudor on the market for $5.8 million.

If there’s any doubt that the five-bedroom home belongs to a 75-year-old comedian, all you have to do is take a look at his Super Dave headquarters, which is adorned with photos, pillows, and a throw rug commemorating his career.

While the sale doesn’t include the mementos, the 4,756-square-foot home does come with marble and hardwood floors, an entry with a lovely wood staircase, and multipaned windows throughout.

The home has fireplaces in the living room, the den (which features an oak bar and French doors that open to the pool area), and the master suite, where you’ll also find a comfy sitting area and luxe bath.

The large, sunny kitchen has an island that can seat five, and opens to a breakfast area. Both spaces have wood and brick flooring and share a set of French doors opening to the terrace with a pergola.

The home was built in 1981 and is surrounded by gates, a hillside, and mature foliage. The new owners can look forward to using the pool, spa, and built-in barbecue area in complete privacy, all while soaking in gorgeous canyon views.

The comedian won an Emmy for writing “The Smothers Brothers” in 1967, and his goofy and ill-fated stuntman character Super Dave Osborne was a staple on late-night TV for decades. Einstein appeared regularly on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Arrested Development,” and was the first comedian on Jerry Seinfeld‘s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” series.
