Central Ohio home prices continued to climb as the hot summer buying season capped off in August. The average price of houses and condos sold in Central Ohio in August grew to $229,033, up 6.4 percent from August 2017, while the median sales price was $195,000, up 7.4 percent. At the same time, sales in contract decreased to 6.7 percent while sales closed rose 2.3 percent, according to data from Columbus Realtors.
