A-list celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are selling their New York City condo, according to the Real Deal. The dynamic duo bought the luxe pad together early last year.
The Wall Street Journal reported the actress and the retired baseball player had picked up the unit for $15.3 million in 2018.
We had our doubts the couple would fall in love with the unit in the famed midtown high-rise, which is the tallest residential building in the Western hemisphere.
The couple’s 4,000-square-foot pad with three beds and 4.5 baths is on the 36th floor. In addition to views of Central Park and the city skyline, it offers an eat-in kitchen, living and dining room, a corner master suite, and a library.

According to the New York Post, the couple were sold on the luxury amenities, including private parking, a personal chef and resident dining room serving three meals a day, a gym with yoga and Pilates, and private elevators.
But, as we presciently pointed out, there are some downsides to living in the high-rise. Complaints have risen about the swaying of the building. And there’s the look of it—the tower has been likened to a “trash can,” and the surrounding area is filled with noisy construction.
It may also have been a simple financial decision. They’ve put it up for sale for $17.5 million, $2.2 million more than they paid just a year ago.
Lopez is also selling a penthouse apartment she bought in 2014 for $20 million. She recently relisted the 6,000-square-foot unit with 3,000 square feet of terraces overlooking Madison Square Park for a hefty $26.95 million.
In California, Lopez picked up a property with 8 acres in Bel Air in 2016; that had a price tag of almost $40 million, according to Variety.
And just months after the couple had purchased the New York City love nest that’s now up for sale, A-Rod listed his Hollywood Hills home for $6.5 million.
