Formula One champ Jenson Button has it all: fast cars, a Playboy Playmate fiancee (Brittny Ward), and a beautiful home in one of the best locations in Southern California. So why has he put his stylish Brentwood estate on the market for $6.6 million?
It’s simple, according to listing agent Cindy Ambuehl of The Agency. While Button and Ward have absolutely loved living in this unique paradise, it all comes back to automobiles. Namely, automobile storage.
The property has covered parking for only six cars—and although that’s rare in this part of Brentwood, it’s just not enough for Button’s car collection. He’s looking for a place with more garage space.
The Cape Cod–style home was built in 1959 and fully remodeled in 2015. Button paid $6.1 million for the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in 2017.

Button and Ward had many pieces of furniture custom-designed for the home, and the listing agent says they might be willing to sell some of the furnishings along with the home.
This makes sense, because the dining room just wouldn’t be complete without the charming corner booth in the family room just off the open kitchen.
Ambuehl says “elegant yet charming” could be the theme for the whole house. “You usually get one or the other,” she says, “you seldom get both in the same property.”
Button, 38, won the 2009 Formula One World Championship and was appointed a member of the Order of the British Empire. He retired from F1 in 2016 after over 300 races and 15 wins on the worldwide auto racing circuit.
