Rosie O’Donnell is serious about selling the last of her large and lavish East Coast properties. Earlier this year, the comedian and TV personality sold three luxurious homes, two in South Nyack, NY, and one in West Palm Beach, FL.
This week, she relisted her Saddle River, NJ, estate for $6 million. The price is less than the $6,375,000 she paid for the 5.7-acre property in 2013.
In the tumultuous months after her purchase, O’Donnell split from her wife, Michelle Rounds, and rejoined “The View,” before exiting the show yet again. In 2015, she put the New Jersey mansion on the market for $7 million.
As she sold off other properties, O’Donnell wound up back in the New Jersey home, and any urgency for a sale was postponed. But now, she and her family are ready to leave for good.
“It’s a wonderful, old-world estate that’s been completely updated,” says listing agent Vicki Gaily with Special Properties under the Brook Hollow Realtors Group. She noted the manicured grounds and the home’s spacious theater downstairs, ideal for family downtime.
“The home’s perfect for someone who loves the feel of an English country manor, but also wants modern amenities,” adds Gaily.
It’s easy to see why O’Donnell would be ambivalent about leaving the six-bedroom, nine-bath estate. The circular motor court and turreted entry are quite regal.

The property comes with a one-bedroom, two-bath pool house with a full kitchen and laundry facilities.
Naturally there’s a pool. It’s designed as a grotto and features a waterfall, a children’s plunge pool, and an oversize spa.

The gated grounds also include a natural gas generator that can service the entire estate, a basketball court that can double as additional parking space, and a three-car garage with an adjacent studio.
Gaily didn’t say where O’Donnell is headed, but it looks like the big city is in the cards. According to Variety, she paid $8 million for a four-bedroom triplex penthouse in Manhattan a little over a year ago.
The 56-year-old New York native is currently playing the plain-talking mother of the lead character on Showtime’s “SMILF.” She also hosted her eponymous afternoon talk show, which ran from 1996 to 2002 and won multiple Emmy Awards.
