Los Angeles is a competitive place, and builder Don Bolin has outdone himself with his latest creation, a massive Bel Air, CA, mansion on the market for $100 million. The nine-digit price tag makes the property this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.

“I’ve built over 65 homes in the city of L.A.,” Bolin says. “Nothing like this.”

Indeed, the features and amenities of this 31,000-square-foot property are eye-popping. From the motor court that fits 70 cars (“Parking is a bear” in Bel Air, Bolin says) to the kid-friendly AstroTurf on the roof, no details have been overlooked.

This brand-new construction took five years to build and sits on a 1.03-acre lot that overlooks the Bel Air golf course, the city, and even the ocean.

There are 12 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, three half-baths, five bars, staff quarters, a two-lane bowling alley, game room, and wine cellar.

Outside there are 40,000 square feet of covered decks, a sport court and pavilion, pool with waterfall, two fire pits, a putting green, and 14-car garage. There’s also a state-of-the-art heating and cooling system and a high-speed Otis elevator.

The master suite, at 5,600 square feet, is larger than most houses. It comes with a spa.

The home’s open layout allows for large gatherings. Bolin estimates the family room could easily hold 1,000 people. One thousand.

Despite the size of the structure, it’s easy on upkeep.

“I built this place like a nightclub, so it’s very durable,” Bolin says.

All the lighting is LED. The waterfall light feature that runs the height of the home’s interior is fiber-optic and changes color at night. The easy-to-clean counters are Cambria. Floors are Italian porcelain.

The home comes fully furnished, and almost everything is custom-made, from the dining table to the couches.

“They don’t have to do anything. They just have to bring their toothbrush. They could move in and sleep there that night,” Bolin says of potential buyers.

The builder notes that given some recent changes to the building code, this oversize home on a smaller-size lot is already a thing of the past. “You can’t build these big homes anymore—they are dinosaurs,” he says.

A big, beautiful dinosaur, that is. And one that will surely stand the test of time. Arline Bolin is the listing agent.
