As MLB All-Star John Kruk rounds third and heads for home, he’s decided to put one of his homes on the market.
After over a decade as an analyst on ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight,” the ex-Philadelphia Phillies first baseman will call games for his former squad this season, and the new gig has inspired him to put his Naples, FL, mansion on the market.
The gregarious Kruk has listed the two-story house, covering over 6,500 square feet, for nearly $2.8 million, which is $1.2 million more than he paid for the place in 2011.
The five-bedroom home sits on 1.37 acres of land and less than two miles from the Naples beach park.

With Southern-style architecture, the home features a formal dining room, butler’s pantry, large living room and family room with a gas fireplace and wet bar. The master suite located in the east wing has wood-paneled ceilings and a personal coffee bar. The master bath is marble and comes equipped with spa amenities.
Other features of the main living area include a home office with private entrance, a mud room, a family command center with laundry, and a dog bath.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, walk-in attic storage, a media room, and a second laundry room.
The outdoor area provides a spacious backyard, batting cage (of course!), saltwater pool, kitchen, and a giant projection screen.
Kruk is a three-time MLB All-Star and a .300 lifetime hitter. He spent six seasons with the Phillies after coming up through the San Diego Padres farm system. He retired in 1995, midway through his first season with the Chicago White Sox.
He joined the “Baseball Tonight” crew in 2004 and made a name for himself with his unabashed style of commentary. In 2011, he was inducted into the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame.
