An NFL offensive tackle who’s made a career of defending the quarterback is now giving you unfettered access to his St. Louis–area mansion.
Jake Long, a four-time NFL Pro Bowl tackle, is selling his home in Clayton, MO, for $2.75 million. After a few seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Long moved to the St. Louis area in 2013 when he signed a four-year, $36 million contract with the St. Louis Rams. He bought the home for $2.26 million, but last donned a Rams uniform in 2014.
The 4,712-square-foot, custom-built home is close to the city’s downtown and boasts wood floors, neutral decor, and an open floor plan.
The main level features a two-story entry with dramatic staircase, powder room, living room with cross-beam ceiling, and fireplace with reading nook. It opens to the chef’s kitchen with crystal cabinetry, center island with marble countertop, top-of-the-line appliances, and butler’s pantry.

There’s an office, master suite with walk-in closet, and his-and-her baths with stall shower and soaking tub. The second level offers four additional bedrooms, three full baths, and a laundry room.
On the walk-out lower level you’ll find a recreation room, catering kitchen, mud room, half-bath, and storage space. Other key features include an elevator, attached two-car garage, screened porch, patio, and fenced yard.
Long was taken No. 1 overall in the 2008 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins and signed a $57 million rookie contract. He quickly established himself as one of the game’s best offensive linemen—making four Pro Bowls and the All-Pro team in 2010.
Injuries have plagued Long’s career since. Most recently, Long played for the Minnesota Vikings before being shelved after another season-ending injury.
