“It’s pretty spectacular,” says Seth Nelson, who is co-listing the home with Sean Stanfield of Stanfield Real Estate HOM Sotheby’s International. “Almost every room in the house has a view.”
Nelson notes that the architect, Paul McClean, is famous for taking every advantage of striking California views. Even the kitchen and some of the bathrooms have a view.
“You can look at yourself in the mirror and the ocean beyond,” he says with a laugh.

“The owner is in the tech industry,” explains Nelson. He and his wife are based in New York and are reducing their footprint on the West Coast, with plans to do more traveling.
One of the home’s more fascinating features is that, from the street, it appears modest. The main part of the house is situated below the street, beyond the neighboring houses on a cliff. You pull into the street-level garage, then descend to a gallery and stroll through it to reach the main house.
