Olympic volleyball legend Karch Kiraly is serving up his San Clemente, CA, home for $3,675,000. Kiraly, a three-time gold medalist, also struck gold with this beautiful, contemporary space located in a gated community in a coastal canyon enclave. The neighborhood, which is just steps from the ocean and beach trail, rarely has homes come on the market.
Kiraly bought the home for $1,425,000 in 2001, a year after it was built. It has since been renovated and tastefully decorated. The light-filled space has four en suite bedrooms and one powder room.
The “dreamy beach house” is “exceptionally exquisite,” says listing agent Lynnea Leon. “It’s the quintessential blend of beauty, tranquility, and privacy nestled in an exclusive coastal canyon with ocean views. It’s perfectly laid out for a relaxing afternoon at home or entertaining in lavish style.”
The 4,000-square-foot residence has decks with ocean views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open layout. The master suite includes two walk-in closets and a luxe bath with dual vanities, free-standing tub, and heated towel racks. The downstairs guest suites include walk-in closets and access to the backyard, which features an outdoor shower.

The living space features light wood flooring, walls of glass, and a fireplace. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with Thermador and Dacor appliances, marble counters, and refinished cabinetry. Other updates include new paint inside and out, updated LED lighting, and refinished decks.
Known as the “winningest player in volleyball history,” the 58-year-old Kiraly is the only player to win Olympic gold medals in both indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. The Michigan native led his UCLA college squad to three national championships in indoor volleyball.
As a coach, Kiraly led the U.S. women’s volleyball team to a bronze medal in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. He’s just the fourth athlete to medal as a player and a coach. And he’s spread his wisdom as the author of two books on volleyball, as well as provided color commentary for ESPN and NBC Sports.
