Fast-growing brokerage Compass has acquired Alain Pinel Realtors, just months after APR's president said the company had “no desire to sell.” The purchase brings a whopping 1,300 agents to Compass, increasing its headcount to 3,000 across the Bay Area and 4,500 in California. Compass uses a proprietary platform to ease the selling process for both its agents and clients and has been on an acquisition spree that has included tech platforms as well as brokerages.
