Former 49ers Exec Trent Baalke Lists $1.6M Vacation Home in Wisconsin

Former San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke is selling a vacation home in his home state of Wisconsin for $1.6 million. He’d purchased the property 10 months earlier.

Baalke, 53, took over as the 49ers’ general manager in 2011, just days before the team hired Jim Harbaugh as head coach. Baalke reportedly clashed with Harbaugh, despite the coach leading the team to 44 regular season victories in four years, and the Super Bowl in 2012.

Baalke fired Harbaugh in 2015, and eventually the team bottomed out with a 2-14 record in the 2016 season—the worst in the NFL, and the team’s worst season since 2004. Baalke was fired as soon as the season ended.

Baalke is hoping to have better luck with this home, which he picked up for $1.13 million in early 2017, a few months after leaving the Niners.

Built in 2001, the three-bedroom, four-bath, 7,200-square-foot house sits on 103 acres on the banks of the Wisconsin River (the longest in the state). It’s a short drive from the city of Tomahawk, population 3,300.

After leaving the 49ers, Baalke quickly sold a multimillion-dollar mansion in San Jose, CA. He was hired by the NFL in August 2017 as a football operations consultant.
