Retired coach and college football Hall of Famer Steve Spurrier has put his five-bedroom mansion in Elgin, SC, on the market for $1.35 million.

Built in 2003, this 6,386-square-foot home is located on a 2.2-acre lot inside the gated community of Woodcreek Farms, on the shores of Coopers Lake. The home has extensive custom woodwork, high ceilings, and hardwood floors throughout the main level.

The open-concept chef’s kitchen opens to a large family room, with access to one of the home’s four porches—each of which has lake views. Elsewhere, there’s an in-law suite on the home’s lower level (with its own full-size kitchen), an exercise room, media room, workshop, and four-car attached garage.

Elgin is about 20 minutes away from the University of South Carolina’s campus. Most of the city’s priciest real estate is concentrated in Spurrier’s gated neighborhood, with one of his neighbors listing their home for $2.45 million.

This year, Spurrier, 71, will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame for the second time in his career—this time for his stellar work as a coach. He’ll become the fourth person in history to be inducted twice into the Hall of Fame (the first time he was a Heisman Trophy–winning player).

Known as the “Old Ball Coach,” he built the Florida Gators into a national powerhouse from 1990 to 2001, a legendary run in which the team never finished lower than 13th in the year-end AP Poll. He led the Gators to the National Championship in 1996 and amassed an overall record of 122-27-1. He took over the South Carolina football program in 2005 and coached the Gamecocks until 2015, but never replicated his fabulous Florida success.

He retired from coaching in the middle of the 2015 season and currently works as an ambassador for the Gators.
