Condoleezza Rice is a professor at Stanford University and a former secretary of state under President George W. Bush. And now, she’s also a shrewd real estate investor.
A Palo Alto, CA, property the former DC power player co-owns with documentary filmmaker and writer Randy Bean has been on the market for less than two weeks for $2,350,000. Thanks to its premium locale, the home is already in pending sale status.
According to public records, the two initially purchased the place with a third investor who later sold his line of credit to the two women.

Word of the conservative professor co-owning a property had the internet abuzz back in 2007. But according to the Washington Post’s Glen Kessler, who broke the story, he “did not know if this meant there was something more to the relationship between the women beyond a friendship.”
The co-owners, who bought the property in 2003, stand to pocket a pretty penny from a sale. Built in 1938, the 1,500-square-foot, two-bedroom, one-bath home also comes with a one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage that is a “legal rental,” according to the listing.
Located on lively College Avenue, it’s near shops, restaurants, public transit, and, of course, Stanford University.
As for Rice, property records show her name on the deed of a property available to Stanford faculty, along with a place in posh Pebble Beach, CA.
