Country music superstar Carrie Underwood and her husband, recently retired NHL star Mike Fisher, are looking for a new home.
Their current residence has some bad mojo. There was Underwood’s well-publicized tumble down the stairs, which left her with nearly 50 stitches in her face and a broken wrist. Afterward, strangers and fans started showing up around the neighborhood hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars at home. Now the couple, who married in 2010, are looking for fresh digs in Nashville, TN, with more security and fewer steps for safety’s sake.
“They are completely done with the neighborhood. The decision came after her fall,” a source told People magazine, adding that security is also becoming an issue. “They’ve been having a lot of issues with neighbors letting people in the community to look around, and it all escalated after the fall.”
Currently, the couple live in a custom-built estate on 400 acres in Nashville. They love the city, but want something new. We took the liberty of poking around Nashville for a few properties currently on the market that might be exactly what the “American Idol” winner (in Season 4) and hockey hunk have in mind, with safety and security to spare.
21 North UmberlandPrice: $4,799,000

However, if Underwood and Fisher want to build another custom (single-story!) estate, there are several lots available in Nashville right now. They include this 18.5-acre parcel on a hilltop with “total seclusion,” and this 682-acre lot with a mile of Cumberland River frontage and a three-bedroom farmhouse.
We wish the couple all the luck in finding the perfect spot in Nashville to call home. And if they wind up picking one of the choice properties above, we’d love an invitation to the housewarming.
