From the outside, it doesn’t look like much.
But this relatively modest two-story Toronto home, decked out “like a California bungalow,” is where Meghan Markle lived — and where Prince Harry slept — before the royal couple got engaged last month.
Markle rented the home in the tony Seaton Village section of Toronto’s west end for two years. It went on the market earlier this month for around $1.09 million — and sold in less than a week, Canadian press outlets reported. (The price won’t be disclosed until the deal closes.)
“The home is aspirational. A million dollars is expensive, but . . . it’s not like Beyonce’s $88 million home in Bel-Air,” said brokers Dolly and Jenny Lenz. They believe the house was snapped up so quickly because of its relatively reasonable price.
The three-bedroom home comes with an eat-in kitchen, a landscaped garden, a finished basement and a two-car garage.
It’s where Markle, an actress, lived for two years while working on the TV show “Suits,” which shoots in Toronto.
It’s also where Prince Harry and Markle hung out before announcing their engagement last month.
“It’s a nice thought to think, ‘Wow, Prince Harry used this toilet,’ ” said Daniel Freeman, of Freeman Real Estate, which sold the home, according to Canadian press reports.

Markle wrote on her blog, the Tig, that she had decorated the little house like a California bungalow to help her rally through “seven Canadian winters.”
The listing describes the home as “Turnkey From Top-To-Bottom. A Perfect Home For Entertaining.” While royal entertaining is not mentioned, the listing also notes that residents will “Live Well In This Stylish Designer Inspired Home” and touts its “Awesome Two Car Garage.”
Locals were protective of the royal couple as paparazzi descended on the quiet neighborhood, although a Facebook page for the Seaton Village Residents Association’s nonpublic pages was reportedly filled with local sightings of the pair doing cute things, such as dressing up for Halloween last year.
Markle now lives in a fairy-tale-style cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. She is slated to marry her prince in May at Windsor Castle.
Real estate broker Alex Beauregard, of Freeman Real Estate, told Canadian reporters that the open house drew 150 people, and that most of the open house attendees were “lookie-loos” obsessed with Prince Harry.
The broker said he didn’t think the house would get a “princess premium” just because “the prince used this washroom.”
The sellers, New York-based fashion stylist Elizabeth Cabral and her husband, Kevin O’Neill, bought the home at 10 Yarmouth Road for $508,000 in 2007.
