Residential housing activity declines — except for prices

The activity overview for the Buffalo residential real estate market shows a decline in eight of 10 metrics. The two exceptions are good news for sellers — average and median prices. Figures provided by the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors for April put the average sale price of a single-family house at $163,998, up 10.9 percent from $147,896 a year ago.
